And just like that, she reappears!
Time really gets away from me. How is in the middle of November? I’m still trying to process that summer has come and gone!
Since we last met, life has been all over the place and so busy, but we accomplished a lot! I’d have to make a dozen different posts to write it all out cohesively, so I’ll stick to a short n’ sweet list of the highlights, with photos below!
- The chickens are laying, and we get between 6-9 eggs per day (with 10 layers). We are feeding them organic layer feed and they’re doing very well on it.
- The garden was pretty darn successful and we learned a lot. I’ve been wanting to do posts about this but between the next couple items, work, and family, the website always takes a back seat.
- We took in an unofficial foster dog, had a month of absolute chaos, and found her a wonderful new home.
- We got the chicken coop almost ready, and the goat shelter ready for winter, and finally added a chicken door so the main door can stay closed. It’s entertaining trying to train the chickens to use the new door, they’re pretty sure doom lies on the other side, no matter which side they’re on!
- I joined Bluesky and will be posting there instead of Facebook!
