Finally – it’s been years since I got to really get into doing a veggie garden, but I got a start on it today! It didn’t take much work to get the container/raised beds cleaned up from the winter, and I planted onions:
And a lonely rhubarb that won’t be lonely for long:
Here’s all 3 beds, waiting to see what I’ll do with them – I’m not sure what will go with the rhubarb yet, but the second tub will be herbs, and the rectangle will have peas and tomatoes. Another in-ground bed on the other side of the house will get pumpkins and watermelons, that my boys wanted to try (I’m still learning to grown in zone 1B – it’s a huge difference from 8! In Oregon, we’d have mega growth by now).
And my first blister of the season!
