I hope all my readers had a happy Mother’s Day! I got my garden (back)! We rented a rototiller and the husband, the kids, and I were able to get a couple years of weeds in the garden dealt with, plus a whole lot of extra soil and manure added, giving us several more inches of usable garden soil. We’ll still be fighting weeds for years to come, we do live on a used-to-be-hay-field, but that’s ok, as long as I can also grow things I want!
We also gave the greenhouse the same treatment which greatly expanded the amount of usable soil. Our last frost date is June 1, so there’s a while yet before I put plants out but hopefully will get the potatoes and onions in soon!
