Super Paws Paw Balm was developed with one 90 pound Rottweiler in mind, who was coming in from -30c Canadian Winter temperatures with super dry, rough paws.
Necessity is the mother of invention.
Paw balms already exist, but we weren’t impressed with the ingredients vs price of any on the market. We set to work researching the best ingredients for healing and protection, that wouldn’t be harmful if ingested, that we could produce for a price we’d pay ourselves.
Super Paws is 100% natural and safe for both humans and pets. Take a look at the Ingredients and Benefits tab for more information on the what and why of our ingredients.
Why do you need Super Paws Paw Balm?
earth and people (and pet) friendly
no petroleum products
no essential oils
Dog paws normally get dry and scratchy, but they aren’t supposed to stay like that, just like human skin. In extreme conditions, like what we normally see in cold climates (especially where de-icer/salt is used), paws can get and stay rough and cracked all winter long.
Dry paws make traction on slick floors and ice more difficult, they can invite infections if the cracks are deep enough, and they can be painful. Not only for the dog, but if you have a dog that communicates with their paws, you’re getting scratched on the arm by rough paws, and it can hurt!
Our ingredients start by resolving the dryness, and then offer longer lasting protection from further damage. For best results, use on clean (or mostly clean, we know dogs) paws before outside time, and again after exposed to extreme cold and de-icer/salt. Wipe paws of any de-icer/salt and other debris before application. Trim very long fur between paws, for best results. Only a minimal amount is needed, reapply as necessary for heavy lickers.
Contains no fragrances or essential oils, so only scent of the oils is there. It’s a unique smell that comes from using pure, non altered/deodorized, oils.
We haven’t had issues with staining, but please test before use if you have carpets or mats you wish to protect.
